How it works
Better than negotiating alone. Safer than an anonymous group deal.
CarTogether organises genuine buyer demand, verifies members, and runs a structured dealer bidding process. You compare offers and buy directly from an authorized dealership.
The buyer journey
From interest to a clear dealer quote
Choose your car and city
Browse models, compare reference prices, and find a public group that matches your car, city and purchase window. You can also start a new group.
Join and confirm your intent
Joining is free. You confirm your car preference, timeline and group processing consent. Your contact details are not shown to other public visitors.
Platform verification
CarTogether operations reviews memberships. Only verified buyers count toward the bidding threshold. Verification is a platform process, not a vehicle booking.
Dealer bidding
When the group meets the verification threshold, operations invites eligible authorized dealers for that brand and city to submit structured offers.
Compare reviewed offers
Offers are checked before publication. Verified members see the offer price, discounts, included benefits, validity and dealer details to compare like-for-like.
Choose and buy direct
If you select an offer, you consent to share your contact details with that dealership. The dealer confirms the final quotation; you pay the dealer directly and own the car.
Clear boundaries
What CarTogether is not
Trust starts with clear language. These are the boundaries of the platform:
- CarTogether does not sell cars or act as a car dealer.
- CarTogether does not collect the vehicle purchase price.
- No discount is guaranteed until a dealer offer is published and confirmed.
- A group membership is not a booking and does not create a purchase obligation.
- Published dealer offers are quotations, not final contracts.
Verification, not a vehicle booking
A verified buyer is a person whose group membership has been checked by platform operations. It does not mean the buyer has paid a booking amount, financed a car, or committed to purchase. It signals real intent so dealers can prepare a credible group offer.
You remain the buyer
The vehicle invoice is issued by the dealership. Delivery, registration, insurance and finance are handled between you and the dealer. CarTogether does not take possession of the vehicle or the purchase money.
Consent before handoff
Dealers do not receive your contact details just because you joined a group. A handoff happens only after you explicitly select an offer and consent to the introduction.
Group size and timing
How groups become ready
- Groups can target between 2 and 50 buyers.
- A minimum number of verified members is required before dealer bidding.
- Groups have a purchase window chosen by the creator.
- Withdrawal is allowed while the group is forming, subject to minimum commitment and booking rules.
Dealers and pricing
How offers are compared
- Dealers must be approved for the relevant brand and service city.
- Offers use structured headers: ex-showroom price, dealer discount, manufacturer benefits, insurance and other charges.
- Platform review checks offer completeness before publication.
- Offers have validity dates and may be withdrawn by the dealer before selection.
