1. The platform
CarTogether is a community car buying platform that helps buyers form verified groups and helps authorized dealerships submit offers for those groups. CarTogether is not a vehicle manufacturer, vehicle dealer, lender, insurer or payment processor. We do not sell vehicles and do not collect the vehicle purchase price.
2. Eligibility and accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into discussions for a vehicle purchase.
- Provide accurate account information and keep your mobile number and email up to date.
- You are responsible for activity under your account and for protecting your OTP and password.
- Do not create accounts for others, impersonate another person or provide false dealership details.
- We may suspend or close accounts that misuse the platform, attempt fraud or violate these terms.
3. Buying groups are not purchases
Creating or joining a buying group records interest and does not create a vehicle booking, purchase contract or payment obligation. Verified membership reflects platform review of membership intent, not a paid booking or confirmed order. Group compositions, statuses and timelines can change. Platform operations may verify members, merge compatible groups, decline or cancel groups, or close bidding where appropriate.
4. Buyer responsibilities
- Join only groups for cars and purchase windows you are genuinely considering.
- Keep group information and invitations accurate and do not spam or misrepresent the platform.
- Review every dealer offer carefully, including variant, price, charges, validity, delivery estimate and terms.
- Independently verify the final on-road price, finance, insurance, registration and delivery with the dealership.
- Use official dealer channels for payments. CarTogether does not request vehicle purchase payments.
5. Dealer offers
Dealer offers are submitted by approved dealerships and may be reviewed by CarTogether before publication. Review is limited to platform completeness and consistency checks; it is not a guarantee of the dealer's pricing, inventory, financing or delivery. A published offer is a quotation, not a binding vehicle sale contract. The dealer's formal quotation and sale documents govern the actual purchase. Offers have validity periods and may be withdrawn or corrected before selection.
6. Handoff and dealer relationship
Dealer contact details and buyer contact details are shared only through the platform's handoff workflow after a buyer selects an offer and consents. Once introduced, the buyer and dealership deal directly with each other. CarTogether is not a party to the vehicle sale, finance, insurance, registration or delivery contract between you and the dealership.
7. Dealer terms
- Dealerships must be authorized for the brands they offer and approved by CarTogether for the relevant service area.
- Dealer information, documents and offers must be accurate, lawful and honor the stated validity period.
- Dealers must not use buyer information received through a handoff for unrelated marketing or unlawful purposes.
- Commission is payable by the dealership under its fee agreement for platform-verified delivered sales. Buyer group membership is free.
- Dealers must comply with applicable consumer protection, tax, insurance, registration and automotive regulations.
8. Verification and platform decisions
We may request information to verify buyers, dealers, offers or deliveries. We may decline, pause or reverse a group or offer where information is incomplete, inaccurate, fraudulent or inconsistent with platform rules. Where possible, affected users are notified in the app. Verification does not transfer responsibility for a purchase decision to CarTogether.
9. Acceptable use
- Do not attempt to access accounts, groups, dashboards or data you are not authorized to access.
- Do not scrape, overload, reverse engineer or interfere with the platform or its security.
- Do not upload malicious code, unlawful content or another person's documents without authority.
- Do not use the platform for fake groups, fake offers, price manipulation, harassment or discriminatory conduct.
- Do not misrepresent CarTogether discounts, affiliation or guarantees to third parties.
10. Intellectual property
The platform, brand, interface, copy, illustrations and software are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the platform for its intended purpose. You retain ownership of content you submit and grant us permission to use it to operate and improve the service. Do not use our marks without written permission.
11. Availability and disclaimers
The platform is provided on an "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, a specific number of dealer offers, a specific discount or a purchase outcome. Reference descriptions, estimated savings and illustrative figures are not guarantees. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties not expressly stated in these terms.
12. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, CarTogether is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for losses arising from a dealership's quotation, inventory, finance, insurance, registration, delivery, payment or after-sales service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including applicable consumer rights.
13. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the platform at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms, security risk, fraud, unlawful conduct or operational reasons. Records may be retained as described in our Privacy Policy.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service changes. The version and effective date at the top of this page apply. Material changes will be communicated where appropriate. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
15. Governing law and contact
These terms are intended to be governed by the laws of India, with courts at Delhi having jurisdiction, subject to applicable consumer protections.
